Beanie Mania Revisited: A Fresh Take on a Childhood Phenomenon

Experiencing "The Beanie Bubble" in BAFTA's impeccable screening rooms was a delight as always.

At the heart of the film's brilliance were the performances, with Sarah Snook truly standing out. Ever since I first laid eyes on her portrayal in "Succession", she has cemented herself as one of my favourite actors, and her role in "The Beanie Bubble" only solidified that admiration.

There's been a murmur among critics suggesting that "The Beanie Bubble" doesn't offer a fresh take on the well-trodden history of Beanie Babies. As someone who was merely a child during the height of the Beanie Baby craze, the film unveiled a narrative I was entirely unfamiliar with. So, I thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling.

The narrative structure, punctuated by sharp editing, and compelling writing, makes "The Beanie Bubble" not just a trip down memory lane, but a fresh exploration of a cultural phenomenon from yesteryears. Highly recommended for both those familiar and unfamiliar with the Beanie frenzy.
