BAFTA TV MASTERCLASS INCLUSIVE STORYTELLING AND PRODUCTION

Amber Williams

6 Dec 2022

An Important Piece of Disability Social History

This masterclass featured contributors Jules Hussey, producer, founder of Brazen Productions, Jess Mobel Jones creative coach from the BBC series Ralph and Katie (2022), as well as Jack Thorne, writer and Amit Sharma, director of the single drama Then Barbara Met Alan (2022). This inspiring panel shared recommendations on how to make a production truly inclusive and accessible. The stories they told were passionate and fun, they worked hard and relished in producing these ground-breaking shows, which have captured an important piece of disability social history. The evening was an eye-opener and I hope, an insight into how all productions will be run in the future.

Brazen Productions have kindly provided a wealth of free production resources, from adjustment and access passport template to easy read artist itinerary and call sheets.
